The Jewish Federation recognized the increasing need of senior care services for seniors in our Jewish community over the last several years. In June of 2019, the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City started a new Senior Care program. The goal of this program is to provide services, resources and social activities to the seniors in our Jewish community. Since the inception of this program we have reached over 380 seniors through our services we provide.

Services offered include:

  • Check in phone calls
  • Home visits
  • Hospital visits
  • Kosher chicken noodle, matzah ball soup, vegetable soup and/or hallah delivery
  • Shabbat and other holiday deliveries to homebound seniors as well as seniors who have lost a loved one and/or do not have family locally.
  • Transportation coordination to/from services, programs or errand
  • Assistance with Zoom setup

In addition to these services we provide Chai On Life programming for our seniors, including study opportunities, field trips and other social gatherings. See below for Chai On Life upcoming programs.

If you or someone you know is in need of any of the services listed above please contact Margo Nechtow by either email or by calling 405-286-1781.

This work can not been done without the help of our amazing volunteers. Thank you for all that you do. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the above services, please click here to fill out this short form to sign up.

This program has been made possible through the generous funding by The Oklahoma City Jewish Foundation, The Janice and Joe L. Singer Family Affiliated Fund and The Wasserman Family Foundation.
